About this role

gogetit is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Go) to design and build a scalable backend for a real-time logistics platform. The role covers backend architecture, high-concurrency WebSocket systems, driver matching logic, and event-driven processing.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable backend systems in Go
Build high-concurrency WebSocket servers (10,000+ connections)
Develop real-time driver matching engines with proximity scoring and dispatch logic
Design PostgreSQL schemas with scalability and microservice extraction in mind
Build event-driven systems using message queues (SQS/SNS) with reliability guarantees

Technical Overview

You will build real-time backend services using Golang (Go) with strong concurrency (goroutines, channels, synchronization). The stack includes PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization, WebSockets, event-driven architecture with message queues (SQS/SNS), REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines with Terraform preferred.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior backend engineer with 4+ years of backend development and 2+ years of hands-on Go (Golang) experience in production. They have deep concurrency expertise (goroutines, channels, synchronization), strong PostgreSQL skills (schema design and query optimization), and experience building real-time, event-driven systems using WebSockets and message queues like SQS/SNS.
