About this role
This role sources, identifies, and develops profitable midstream opportunities related to a region of pipeline systems. You will build relationships, negotiate commercial agreements, and produce business plans and financial models to support decisions across capital projects, asset optimization, and M&A.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new and support existing customer and industry relationships
- Identify and track new business opportunities
- Prepare and facilitate negotiations of commercial agreements
- Create and update PowerPoint presentations and deliver business plan updates
- Build financial models and project maps for project evaluation
Technical Overview
The technical workload is primarily commercial and analytical: using Excel for modeling, PowerPoint for materials, and Google Earth for mapping visuals. You will analyze market trends, pipeline flows, pipeline volumes, and scheduling data and coordinate data inputs with finance, supply and trading, and operations.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior business development professional with 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry or energy investment banking. They are strong in Excel and PowerPoint, build financial models and project maps, and have experience negotiating commercial agreements and developing midstream opportunities such as capital projects, asset optimization, and M&A.
