Senior catastrophe risk modeling analyst to support catastrophe modeling, regulatory reporting, and reinsurance pricing decisions across Hartford's property exposures; collaborate with underwriting and risk teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support monthly catastrophe modeling and rollup efforts
- Contribute to the development of the company's view of catastrophe risk
- Maintain communication with underwriting teams
- Implement reporting solutions for exposure management
- Identify opportunities to streamline modelling and reinsurance rollup with AI or automation
Technical Overview
Hands-on catastrophe modeling using AIR and RMS models; SQL and Python for data handling; Tableau and GIS for visualization and geographic analysis; cross-functional communication with leadership.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior catastrophe risk modeling professional with 5+ years of P&C catastrophe modeling experience, proficient in SQL and Python, and skilled with AIR and RMS models, able to communicate modeling insights to senior leadership.
