About this role
Senior specialist role for resolving complex casualty claims, especially severe and catastrophic auto and homeowner’s cases. You will manage investigations, evaluate coverage/liability/damages, collaborate with trial counsel, attend proceedings, maintain reserves, and prepare detailed litigation reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage investigation, evaluation, and resolution of complex auto and homeowner’s casualty claims
- Assess coverage, liability, and damages; recommend settlement strategies and escalate for authority review
- Identify suspicious claims and refer to SIU; identify third party subrogation opportunities
- Collaborate with trial counsel and attend mediations, arbitrations, trials, hearings, and conferences
- Maintain accurate reserves and oversee billing practices of outside and in-house counsel
Technical Overview
This is not a software/IT implementation role; the technical scope is claims resolution and litigation workflow. Key areas include reserve management, SIU referral/escalation, subrogation identification, and oversight of billing practices for outside and in-house counsel.

The ideal candidate is a senior claims professional with deep technical expertise handling severe, catastrophic auto and homeowner casualty claims. They have experience managing investigations through resolution, collaborating with trial counsel, and producing litigation and trial reports while maintaining accurate reserves.
