About this role

The Senior Cloud Engineer provides technical support for engineering and corporate organizations and helps run AMD’s global cloud infrastructure. The role designs and automates cloud-native resources across Azure, AWS, and GCP while enabling secure hybrid deployments and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, deploy, monitor, maintain, and evolve cloud-native resources and reusable modules
Use infrastructure-as-code practices to automate provisioning of cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, GCP
Create secure hybrid deployments of virtual machines and PaaS solutions
Manage incident tickets and collaborate with global teams to complete IT projects
Implement and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation

Technical Overview

You will build and evolve cloud-native infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code practices, supporting provisioning automation across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform. Work includes secure hybrid deployments using virtual machines and PaaS, incident ticket handling, and implementing security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior cloud engineer experienced in designing, developing, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining cloud-native resources across Azure, AWS, and GCP. They have strong infrastructure-as-code skills, can build secure hybrid deployments (virtual machines plus PaaS), and can drive operational excellence through incident management and security/governance automation.
