About this role
Boeing is hiring a Senior Cloud Platform Kubernetes Specialist to design and create a cloud-agnostic Kubernetes platform as a service. The role centers on AWS EKS and Azure AKS, automated infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD, and production-grade monitoring and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a cloud-agnostic Kubernetes platform as a service using AWS EKS and Azure AKS
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and infrastructure provisioning
- Monitor performance and observability using Prometheus and Grafana
- Implement Kubernetes security best practices including RBAC and network policies
- Troubleshoot issues, participate in incident response, and perform post-mortem analysis
Technical Overview
You will build CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning, and use Prometheus and Grafana for observability and performance monitoring. The platform will implement Kubernetes security best practices including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and network policies, and you will handle incident response and post-mortem improvements.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior Kubernetes/cloud platform specialist with 10+ years deploying and managing distributed systems and 5+ years focused on Kubernetes and containerization (Docker) across at least one major cloud. They are strong in CI/CD automation, observability with Prometheus and Grafana, and Kubernetes security with RBAC and network policies.
