About this role
Senior Counsel focused on enterprise data privacy compliance and governance across the organization, partnering with IT and business units to implement privacy programs and incident response, and reviewing contracts for privacy risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide data privacy compliance and governance
- Assess and strengthen privacy processes and policies
- Collaborate on DPIAs and risk assessments with IT and cross-functional teams
- Develop privacy training programs and communications and conduct audits
- Review contracts for privacy compliance and manage vendor privacy inquiries
Technical Overview
Legal role with emphasis on privacy frameworks (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, LGPD), DPIA process, risk assessments, audits, training programs, vendor/privacy governance, and contract review.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior privacy attorney with 5+ years of data privacy/compliance experience, strong knowledge of global privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR, LGPD), and proven ability to lead enterprise privacy programs and train stakeholders at the executive level.
