About this role
As a Senior Cybersecurity and IT Assessor, you will support a government assessment and oversight program by independently evaluating cybersecurity deployment, effectiveness, and operational maturity. You will perform technical and programmatic audits, analyze risk-informed findings, and help evolve maturity models, assessment methodologies, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct technical, operational, and programmatic inspections, assessments, and audits
- Lead tasks, allocate work, and mentor team members
- Collect, analyze, and present risk-informed cybersecurity information
- Support maturation and continuous improvement of the assessment program
- Develop, document, and maintain assessment program materials
Technical Overview
The role focuses on assessment, audit, and oversight of cybersecurity implementations across agency systems, applications, enterprise services, and cloud environments. You will develop maturity models and methodologies, produce risk-informed reporting, and improve governance and compliance processes for cybersecurity programs.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior cybersecurity and IT assessor who can independently evaluate cybersecurity implementation deployment, effectiveness, and operational maturity across agency systems and cloud environments. They should be strong in audit/assessment execution, risk-informed analysis and reporting, and continuous improvement of assessment methodologies and governance processes.
