Position Details
About this role
Own the data foundation for NewtonX’s growth engine by building pipelines and ensuring data quality and valid event tracking. Partner with Product to run and analyze A/B tests, deliver funnel and attribution insights, and support AI-driven growth using embeddings and LLM-enriched models.
Key Responsibilities
- Design pipelines (SQL, dbt, BigQuery) and unify marketing, product, and operational data
- Own data quality and event tracking validation
- Partner with Product to design and analyze A/B tests across acquisition and activation funnels
- Build funnel reporting, attribution models, and campaign analysis; create Looker dashboards
- Integrate LLM-enriched data models, embeddings, and similarity signals for smarter targeting and segmentation
Technical Overview
Build SQL and dbt pipelines on BigQuery to unify marketing, product, and operational data. Create Looker dashboards and power experimentation with Mixpanel instrumentation, then extend data models with LLM-enriched features, embeddings, similarity signals, and segmentation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior data engineer/analyst with 4+ years of hands-on experience building data pipelines using SQL, dbt, and BigQuery. They have strong experimentation and analytics experience (A/B tests, funnel reporting, attribution models) and can build actionable Looker dashboards using Mixpanel instrumentation, with additional capability working with embeddings and LLM-enriched data models.
