About this role

The Hanover's Senior Data Engineer will design, develop, implement, optimize, and maintain data integrations, pipelines, and solutions on Azure/on-premises platforms. They will mentor engineers, collaborate with business partners, and ensure data security and governance while enabling scalable analytics.

Design, develop, implement, optimize, and maintain data integrations and pipelines
Mentor and lead junior data engineers
Collaborate with business partners to deliver data/reporting solutions
Ensure data security, governance, and compliance
Monitor and optimize data ingestion pipelines for performance and cost

Technical Overview

Role centers on building and operating Azure-based data pipelines using Data Factory, Synapse, and ADLS, with strong SQL, Python, and PowerShell capabilities. Emphasis on ETL, data modeling, governance, and CI/CD within an Agile/DevOps environment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior data engineer with 5+ years of experience building Azure-based data platforms, proficient in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and ADLS, and strong in SQL, Python, and ETL. They should be adept at leading data projects, mentoring juniors, and collaborating with business partners to deliver scalable data/reporting solutions while ensuring security and compliance.
