About this role
Okta is seeking a Senior Database Reliability Engineer to design, operate, and optimize PostgreSQL at scale, including HA, backups, incident response, and automation across cloud environments.

Technical Overview
You will manage PostgreSQL and MySQL clusters with high availability and disaster recovery, leveraging Terraform/Ansible for automation, Kubernetes Operators for orchestration, and extensive monitoring with Prometheus/Grafana/Datadog. Experience with federal data access is a plus.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior DBRE with 4+ years of PostgreSQL experience in high-volume production, solid MySQL knowledge, and strong SQL expertise. They should be comfortable with cloud environments (AWS or GCP), automation with Go or Python, and incident response in production environments.
