About this role

Own DevOps capabilities for a large-scale cloud-based data processing environment, including infrastructure best practices, automated delivery pipelines, and reliability. You will embed security into infrastructure and runtime operations while mentoring engineers and improving platform initiatives from concept through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, serverless, messaging, and workflow orchestration
Design and operate automated delivery pipelines for builds, testing, releases, and safe deployments
Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code to standardize environments
Drive availability and reliability through performance tuning, capacity planning, autoscaling, and proactive alerting/incident response
Embed security best practices into infrastructure, delivery workflows, and runtime operations

Technical Overview

Operate and optimize cloud infrastructure spanning compute, storage, networking, serverless, messaging, and workflow orchestration. Build automated delivery pipelines for builds, testing, releases, and safe deployments, and implement infrastructure-as-code to standardize environments. Drive reliability using performance tuning, capacity planning, autoscaling, and observability (logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting).

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior DevOps engineer with 5+ years of experience designing and supporting cloud infrastructure and services. They are strong in automated delivery pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and building reliability through performance tuning, capacity planning, autoscaling, and proactive alerting/incident response. They work comfortably across Windows and Linux and have hands-on observability skills with logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerting.
