About this role

Senior Director, Controller oversees all entities’ accounting cycles, month-end/year-end procedures, tax compliance, and intercompany transactions. Serves as a key business partner to Operations and leads efforts to improve processes and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Plans, implements, and oversees overall accounting strategy and daily accounting operations
Manages AP/AR, cash receipts, GL, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and tax reporting
Sets up and monitors KPIs and produces financial reports
Recruits and trains accounting staff
Ensures GAAP compliance and supports audits

Technical Overview

Direct responsibility for accounting operations, general ledger, payroll, budgeting, and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Odoo); involvement in audits and tax reporting.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced controller/director of finance with 4+ years in accounting, strong GAAP knowledge, and ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Odoo). CPA/CMA preferred, with leadership experience and ability to drive process improvements in a remote retail environment.
