The Senior Director of Engineering, Growth for PayPal Consumer App will own growth strategy and execution for the PayPal Consumer App, focusing on how millions discover, sign up for, and engage with PayPal.
Key Responsibilities
- Directs engineering best practices across multiple domains
- Develops enterprise-level evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people
- Owns relationship with executives and SLT to drive alignment and the creation of business AND technical objectives
- Delivers high-complexity projects and programs with enterprise impact
- Defines and executes software development strategy to meet business objectives
Technical Overview
Leads growth-focused software development across mobile and web platforms, with distributed systems, data-driven decision making, and multi-channel engagement. Responsible for setting the technology vision, roadmaps, budgeting, and collaborating with product, design, analytics, and executives.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior software engineering leader with 12+ years of experience, fintech/payments domain preferred, who has led growth-focused consumer app initiatives across mobile and web. They excel in cross-functional collaboration with product, design, marketing, and analytics, translating business objectives into scalable software strategy and roadmaps.
