Loss Control Engineer provides risk management and nuclear insurance program support by coordinating loss control inspections and risk improvement projects for nuclear facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate external risk inspections; facilitate insurer communications; identify and evaluate nuclear risks; recommend mitigations; support renewals and budgets
Technical Overview
Knowledge of fire protection theories and NFPA codes; nuclear facility systems; risk assessment; travel up to 25-30%; strong communication and collaboration.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a nuclear-focused loss control engineer with 3+ years of nuclear plant or high-hazard engineering experience, NFPA knowledge, and strong communication skills to coordinate between insurers and plant personnel.
