About this role
Carrier seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to develop and integrate embedded electronic hardware and embedded electrical controls for commercial HVAC equipment. The role includes leading design work across analog, digital, and power circuits and contributing to documentation and technical training.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead research, development, design, and testing of embedded electrical controls
- Analyze system requirements to determine feasibility and develop system plans
- Integrate electronic controls into systems from prototypes to manufacturing check samples
- Oversee new and existing electronic/electrical design implementation and maintenance
- Apply FMEA, tolerance stack up analysis, simulation, and Design For Manufacturability techniques and mentor junior engineers
Technical Overview
You will design, develop, and test embedded electronic controls and associated equipment/system networks, supporting integration from prototypes to manufacturing check samples. The technical approach includes circuit analysis, analog/digital/power circuit development (including ADCs and power switching), and risk/robustness methods such as FMEA, simulation, tolerance stack-up analysis, and Design For Manufacturability techniques.

The ideal candidate is a senior electrical engineer with deep experience developing embedded electronic hardware for commercial HVAC equipment. They can lead embedded controls research, design and testing, perform circuit analysis, apply FMEA and tolerance stack-up analysis, and mentor junior engineers through product development from concept to delivery.
