About this role

Senior electrical engineer to lead data center electrical design, ensuring reliability, code compliance and cost-effectiveness; manage external design consultants and support RFPs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical design efforts for data center products and infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain design standards, specifications, and Basis of Design documentation
  • Manage external design consultants
  • Coordinate with vendors, utilities, inspectors, and contractors
  • Support site visits, design reviews, and project execution activities

Technical Overview

Electrical systems including protection, grounding, generators, UPS; adherence to NEC,NFPA,UL,ANSI; RFP and Basis of Design; coordination with AHJs and utilities; site visits and project execution

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced electrical engineer with 8+ years in data center electrical design, strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA/UL/ANSI, and experience managing external consultants and RFPs; comfortable coordinating with AHJs and utilities on mission-critical facilities.

Must-Have Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field8+ years of experience in electrical design for data centers or mission-critical facilitiesStrong knowledge of electrical systems including protectiongroundinggeneratorsUPSand battery systemsExperience interpreting and applying NECNFPAULANSIand utility standardsExperience managing external design consultantsStrong communication and technical documentation skills
