About this role
Senior Electrical Engineer on the Ottava Team, responsible for developing and validating power electronics, control systems, and network architecture for robotic surgery platforms; work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver robust hardware designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and test PCAs including full lifecycle from prototyping to release
- Own full lifecycle PCBA designs with design reviews and validation
- Collaborate with multi-functional teammates to develop robust architectures and electrical functionality
- Perform component and subsystem testing including EMI/ESD, thermal analysis
- Lead design reviews, fault safety analysis, and design failure mode analysis
Technical Overview
Scope includes complex analogue/digital electronics, PCA/PCB design, and integration into system architecture with emphasis on EMI/ESD, thermal management, and DFMEA-style validation for a medical device context.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior electrical engineer with hands-on hardware design experience for robotic/medical devices, strong PCB design skills, and familiarity with regulatory standards (21 CFR Part 820, IEC60601-1). She/he thrives in a multi-disciplinary team and can drive hardware design from concept through production.
