About this role
This role is for a Senior Electrical Estimator to join the MEP estimating and cost management team with the ability to work remotely within the United States. The estimator supports early project development with conceptual estimating, shaping budgets, and providing bid analysis and post-contract support while coordinating with clients and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform QA/QC, fee proposals, and task management
- Reconcile invoices and change orders with GC, sub-contractors, and 3rd parties
- Perform Value Analysis and risk/value evaluations
- Prepare project plans and perform bid analysis and post contract support
- Mentor estimators and participate in peer review processes
Technical Overview
The scope includes electrical estimating and cost planning methodologies, including BIM 5D cost modeling and LEED cost analysis. It also covers change order review and reconciliation, Value Analysis, risk and value management evaluations, and understanding project controls and stakeholder requirements.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior electrical estimating professional with strong conceptual estimating experience who enjoys being involved early in project development. They can manage QA/QC and fee proposals, reconcile invoices and change orders, perform Value Analysis and risk/value evaluations, and support bid analysis and post-contract activities while partnering with clients and project teams.
