About this role
Senior Engineer - Instrumentation and Controls will plan, organize, manage, and execute instrumentation and controls engineering projects. The role includes producing and reviewing design deliverables, conducting design reviews, evaluating vendor proposals, and supporting construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, manage, and execute instrumentation and control projects and programs
- Perform and oversee engineering design tasks including modeling, calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Develop, prepare, and review technical documentation, reports, and accurate design records
- Conduct design reviews and evaluate vendor proposals for compliance with codes and standards
- Assist in resolving technical issues during construction and commissioning
Technical Overview
The role focuses on instrumentation and controls engineering deliverables including Piping and Instrument Diagrams (PIDs), Input/Output Lists (I/O), and other control documentation. It includes modeling/simulation with engineering tools, applying electrical design practices, participating in HAZIDs/HAZOPs, and integrating solutions into project plans.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer with a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Instrumentation/Control Engineering and 5+ years of relevant engineering experience. They have hands-on experience producing controls deliverables such as Piping and Instrument Diagrams (PIDs) and Input/Output Lists (I/O), participating in HAZIDs/HAZOPs, and supporting construction and commissioning.
