About this role
Rockwell Automation seeks a Senior Hardware Development Engineer to participate in hardware product development, including design, testing, and documentation, across microprocessor/microcontroller, memory, and FPGA-based systems, with emphasis on EMI/EMC and Functional Safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing in microprocessor/microcontroller system design
- Memory system designs
- Design for circuits with FPGA/CPLD/PAL devices
- EMI noise reduction techniques/countermeasures for PCB layout
- Design verification test and prototype BOM management
Technical Overview
Responsibilities include design and test of hardware systems (FPGA/CPLD/PAL, Ethernet/USB, analog/digital electronics), PCB layout, EMI/EMC compliance, and prototype BOM management; requires IEC61508 Functional Safety experience.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior hardware engineer with 5+ years of electronics product design experience, proficient in FPGA/CPLD/PAL, Ethernet/USB interfaces, and design-for-testability, with strong EMI/EMC and functional safety experience.
