About this role
GitHub is seeking a Senior IT Product Manager to join its CISO organization and lead internal IT Services product strategy and roadmap. The role manages the product lifecycle, intake and prioritization, and sprint execution with clear user stories and success criteria.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive product strategy and roadmap for internal IT Services
- Manage product lifecycle from definition and planning through production and release
- Analyze product performance and drive necessary redesign
- Manage demand intake, project boards, and backlogs
- Plan and drive sprints with clear user stories and success criteria
Technical Overview
You will coordinate with engineering teams to deliver technical solutions and lead efforts that create integrations between platforms and internal/external GitHub systems. The scope includes product performance analysis and redesign, ensuring releases are timely, high-quality, and secure in partnership with Security Operations and Risk teams.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior IT Product Manager who can own internal IT Services product strategy, roadmap, and end-to-end lifecycle from planning through production and release. They are strong in backlog and sprint execution, writing user stories with success criteria, and making prioritization/trade-off decisions with cross-functional teams including design, change management, Security Operations, and Risk. They bring experience translating stakeholder needs into actionable technical solutions and leading integrations across internal and external GitHub systems.
