About this role
This role leads and scales localization efforts by coordinating internal teams and external language service providers to deliver high-quality localized releases. You will manage localization requests end-to-end, including intake, scoping, execution, and ongoing improvements to workflows and tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and scale localization initiatives with volunteer localizers
- Drive localized product releases end-to-end with testing and quality strategies
- Own localization requests including intake, scoping, and execution with LSPs
- Make and communicate trade-offs to optimize time-to-delivery, quality, and resources
- Partner with engineers and other localization program managers to design localization-ready features and improve tooling
Technical Overview
The technical program management scope focuses on localization readiness, testing/quality strategies for localized releases, and workflow/tooling improvements. It includes coordinating with UX, Content, and Engineering teams and working with online translation software and computer assisted translation systems alongside LSPs.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior Technical Program Manager with proven experience scaling localization processes and workflows for software and web products. They have hands-on experience with online translation software and computer assisted translation, and can drive end-to-end localized releases by coordinating intake, scoping, and execution with language service providers (LSPs).
