Senior Manager, Security Platform Engineering (Hybrid - Seattle)

Lead Nordstrom’s Security Platform Engineering team to define and execute a security platform roadmap across key control areas such as endpoint, cloud security, data protection, email security, and monitoring. Drive consolidation and modernization of security tooling while building a high-performing engineering organization with an AI-first mindset.

• Develop and execute multi-domain security platform roadmap
• Lead design/implementation/lifecycle management of enterprise security platforms (EDR, AV, DLP, encryption, SIEM, CSPM, email security)
• Manage security tooling evaluations and RFP processes
• Oversee platform migrations/upgrades with minimal disruption
• Establish standards, metrics, and incident response with root cause analysis

Ownership includes the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise security platforms such as EDR (endpoint detection and response), AV (antivirus), DLP (data loss prevention), encryption, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), and CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management), plus email security and logging/monitoring. You will manage migrations/upgrades, establish standards and architectural patterns, and run incident response with root cause analysis and remediation.

The ideal candidate is a senior security engineering leader who has managed and modernized enterprise security platforms end-to-end across endpoint, cloud, data protection, and monitoring tooling. They bring a strong track record in incident response and root cause analysis, and can translate security strategy into multi-quarter implementation roadmaps with measurable security metrics.
