Technical Overview

Scope includes design of complex software systems, TT&C integration, containerized deployments, and guidance on software testing and deployment in Linux environments; requires Agile practices and strong leadership.

Ideal Candidate

An experienced software engineering leader with 10+ years in design and architecture of ground software, strong containerization skills (Docker/Kubernetes), and NOAA Public Trust clearance readiness. Must be able to lead multiple teams, drive architectural decisions, and deliver high-assurance software for defense programs.

Must-Have Skills

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degreeminimum of 16 years of prior related experience.Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using DockerPodmanKubernetesor equivalent.Experience with multiple programming and scripting languages (including C/C++JavaPythonBash).Experience reviewing and testing software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.Experience with Linux environmentsincluding scriptingconfigurationand software deployment.Ability to obtain a High Risk NOAA Public Trust clearanceFamiliarity with Agile workflow tools and collaborative version-control practices (GitJIRAConfluenceetc.)Experience with ClearCase and ClearQuest version control systemsExperience with iterative software development processes (AgileSCRUMKanban)Experience working in complex software environments
