Senior Mechanical Engineer on the Automation Team designing and building custom automation equipment for fiber optic manufacturing; leads cross-functional design efforts and manages timelines and budgets on-site in Shakopee.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of mechanical systems for automation equipment
- Lead and participate in design reviews with global teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of mechanical designs
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and equipment qualification
- Prepare design documentation, BOMs, assembly instructions, and maintenance guidelines
Technical Overview
Expert in mechanical design and integration of automation systems; proficient with SolidWorks and GD&T; experienced with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and equipment qualification; collaborates with electrical and software teams.
