About this role
Responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and supporting network, server, and storage infrastructure with a strong focus on network security controls. Provides troubleshooting, monitoring, installation/configuration support, and disaster recovery involvement, including second-level security support.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan/design/implement network, server, and storage infrastructure
- Troubleshoot using the OSI model and coordinate escalations
- Monitor systems and adjust configurations to prevent errors/work stoppages
- Provide security consulting and second-level technical support for authentication mechanisms
- Participate in disaster recovery planning/testing and maintain documentation
Technical Overview
Works across network, server, and storage domains using the OSI model for troubleshooting and security consulting across firewalls, operating systems, and network devices. Supports Windows Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, switching/routing, VMware, Storage Area Networks (SAN), and Cisco networking, and contributes to disaster recovery planning and documentation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior-level Network & Systems Security Analyst with 6+ years of hands-on experience supporting Windows Server, VMware, Storage Area Networks (SAN), and Cisco networking. They can troubleshoot using the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) model, maintain Windows Active Directory, implement firewall and network security controls, and contribute to disaster recovery planning and documentation. They also hold at least one associate-level and one professional/senior-level certification such as MCSA/MCSE and are able to pass a NERC background check.
