Senior P&C Field Technician responsible for leading substation testing, commissioning, and relaying activities across U.S. projects. The role includes relay calibration, SCADA metering validation, and supervising field crews with strict adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead testing and commissioning for substation protection and control systems
Perform relay calibration and SCADA metering validation
Commission pilot channel equipment (power line carrier, transfer trip, fiber optics, CVTs, line tuners, line traps)
Troubleshoot and repair protection and control systems
Supervise field crews and enforce safety standards

Technical Overview

Technical scope centers on protection and control schemes, various relay technologies (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor), SCADA interfaces, and detailed wiring schematic interpretation. Proficiency with field test equipment and MS Office is required.

The ideal candidate is a senior P&C field technician with 8+ years of hands-on substation experience, including commissioning, relay testing, and protection & control, who can lead field crews and travel up to 70% across the continental U.S. They should demonstrate strong SCADA knowledge and the ability to interpret wiring diagrams.
