About this role
WellCare Health Plans (Centene) is hiring a Senior Performance Testing Engineer to implement performance testing services using automated tools. The role designs and maintains performance test scripts and suites to measure reliability, capacity, and scalability, while supporting Agile delivery and mentoring the test team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test and deploy automated performance testing solutions
- Create and maintain an Automated Performance Test Suite for regression testing
- Translate performance requirements into test designs and test cases
- Apply automated tools across all phases of the SDLC in Agile teams
- Provide charts/results and timely reporting to stakeholders; mentor the team
Technical Overview
You will build and deploy automated performance testing solutions across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile execution and regression coverage via an Automated Performance Test Suite. The environment includes microservice-based systems and cloud technologies such as Containers, Kubernetes, Kafka, and object storage, with monitoring/reporting using Dynatrace and Splunk; AWS knowledge is also included.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior performance testing engineer with 4-6 years of experience implementing performance testing services using automated testing tools across the SDLC. They have hands-on test automation experience for microservices (Containers, Kubernetes, Kafka) and can build and maintain an Automated Performance Test Suite for regression testing, with strong monitoring/reporting using Dynatrace and Splunk.
