Toptal is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to lead the development of agentic AI tooling and a platform that orchestrates isolated AI-powered development sessions. You will identify meaningful problems, define requirements, and own features through production deployment while working across backend and frontend as the work demands.

Technical Overview

The role spans Rust for CLI tools and an API server, React 19 with TypeScript for the frontend, and Kubernetes with Helm on Google Cloud Platform for infrastructure. You will contribute across the full stack, using the team’s agentic tooling to build and iterate quickly through experimentation and prototyping.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior platform engineer who can lead end-to-end development of an orchestration platform for agentic AI tooling. They have strong hands-on experience with Rust and API services, and they can build and operate systems using Kubernetes and Helm on Google Cloud Platform, while also working effectively across the React 19 + TypeScript frontend when needed.
