Senior Principal Scientist, Psychiatry

Cogstate is seeking a Senior Principal Scientist, Psychiatry to plan and oversee psychiatry-focused clinical trial scientific strategy and delivery. The role ensures the quality and consistency of endpoint data collection through rater training, scale administration, and central monitoring.

• Oversee scientific delivery of psychiatry clinical trial services
• Lead rater training program design and implementation (MADRS, HAM-D, HAM-A, YMRS)
• Integrate central monitoring frameworks and endpoint quality workflows
• Monitor central monitoring outputs and address data quality escalations
• Provide scientific direction on study feasibility, scale selection, and administration standards

You will lead scientific delivery across multiple studies by defining endpoint quality delivery plans, central monitoring frameworks, and data quality strategies. The work includes monitoring central monitoring outputs for data quality signals, rater drift, and protocol deviations, and directing follow-up actions with internal and sponsor stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a senior scientific leader who has planned and overseen psychiatry-focused clinical trial services across multiple studies. They have deep experience with endpoint data collection quality, rater training programs (including MADRS, HAM-D, HAM-A, YMRS), and central monitoring methodologies to detect data quality signals, rater drift, and protocol deviations.
