Senior Purchasing Manager

Lead a purchasing team responsible for procuring materials and components for Boston Scientific manufacturing sites in North America. Manage spend and inventory targets, ensure continuity of supply, and drive compliance with regulatory and quality requirements while improving purchasing workflows with predictive analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

• Develop and implement direct purchasing strategies and goals to optimize inventory levels and mitigate supply risk
• Ensure stable supply chain through supplier management, inventory control, and strategic partnerships
• Align direct purchasing with SI&OP processes for supply coordination and capacity planning
• Support new product development and acquisition integration with materials management from concept through commercialization
• Integrate digital analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into purchasing workflows and drive compliance and performance via Lean improvements

Technical scope is purchasing workflow enablement using predictive analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) along with digital analytics to improve purchasing accuracy and data-driven decision-making. The role also requires integrating purchasing with SI&OP and supporting material readiness for new product and acquisition integration efforts.

The ideal candidate is a senior purchasing/procurement leader who has managed direct purchasing, spend, inventory targets, and supplier relationships for manufacturing operations. They have strong experience aligning purchasing with SI&OP, driving Lean process improvements, and improving compliance and quality performance, with demonstrated interest in applying predictive analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to purchasing workflows.
