About this role
Responsible for successful completion of the training program to obtain a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for the assigned plant. The role coordinates key plant activities and studies/trains for SRO certification while demonstrating high nuclear professionalism and safety maturity.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement plant equipment controls and integrated operations procedures; Train and study for SRO Certification; Demonstrate basic knowledge of engineering; Ensure adherence to regulations, policies and procedures; Maintain constructive relationships with regulatory agencies and other departments
Technical Overview
Focuses on nuclear plant operations and training completion for an NRC-based Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license. Work includes coordination and implementation of equipment controls, integrated operations procedures, maintenance and planning, radiological support, chemistry-related activities, and conservative nuclear safety decision making.
