About this role
This senior DevOps role owns reliability-focused delivery for cloud-based infrastructure and developer experience. You will design and build automation and infrastructure platform capabilities, operate production environments, and lead continuous improvement initiatives while participating in on-call.
Key Responsibilities
- Own reliability, security, and integrity of cloud-based Linux infrastructure
- Design and build software for tools, libraries, automation, services, and glue scripts
- Develop processes and automation to eliminate repetitive tasks and alert noise
- Operate developer experience and production application environments
- Participate in flexible on-call rotation and drive continuous improvement
Technical Overview
The role emphasizes operating and evolving large cloud-based Linux infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code, with responsibilities spanning developer experience and production application environments. You will diagnose and repair distributed systems, execute maintenance/upgrades/migrations, and apply Linux systems administration skills including troubleshooting, L3-L7 networking, and basic monitoring.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior DevOps/SRE developer with 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or software engineering roles and a proven record of impactful contributions. They have strong infrastructure-as-code experience building and running cloud infrastructure, deep Linux systems administration skills (including troubleshooting and L3-L7 networking), and a track record of reliability/security ownership with flexible on-call participation.
