Amazon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for AWS Agentic AI to build and enhance Bedrock AgentCore services. The role focuses on scalable, fault-tolerant agentic AI infrastructure and strong system design leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Build or enhance Bedrock AgentCore services for Agentic AI
Design scalable, efficient, fault-tolerant distributed systems
Lead architecture and mentor engineers/serve as tech lead
Deliver strategic technical projects with business impact
Drive software development life cycle practices (coding standards, code reviews, testing, operations)

Technical Overview

You will deliver new and enhanced Bedrock AgentCore services for Agentic AI on Amazon Bedrock, architecting distributed systems and applying design patterns for reliability and scaling. You will also participate in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, build processes, testing, and operations.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior software engineer with 5+ years of professional software development and 5+ years leading design/architecture for scalable, fault-tolerant systems. They have hands-on experience building agentic AI services on Amazon Bedrock (Bedrock AgentCore) and can mentor teams while delivering distributed, high-impact solutions.
