About this role
Senior software engineer focused on Tooling & Platform, tasked with building and maintaining the core CD platform, IaC workflows, and cloud provisioning tooling using Spinnaker and Terraform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop Core Platform Components: Lead the design and development of scalable microservices and tools that form the backbone of Okta's CD platform
- Build Infrastructure as Code Automation: Develop software to provision and manage infrastructure
- Architect and Implement Deployment Workflows: Contribute to robust CD pipelines and Terraform IaC workflows
- Develop High-Quality Automation Software: Write clean and well-tested code
- Collaborate for Operational Efficiency: Partner with DevOps, SREs, and Product teams
Technical Overview
Cloud-native tooling in AWS with Kubernetes (ECS/EKS) focus; DevOps-minded with IaC, CD pipelines, and automation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior platform/ cloud engineer with strong Terraform IaC experience and hands-on Spinnaker-based CD pipelines. They should be adept at building scalable, cloud-native tooling on AWS (ECS/EKS) and mentoring other engineers.
