About this role
Senior AI Security Specialist responsible for defining and driving Ascension's AI security strategy, evaluating tooling, and implementing scalable AI security controls to meet healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the organization’s AI security strategy
- Lead AI security tooling evaluation and implementation
- Drive AI security controls and governance
- Assess AI-related risks and apply established frameworks
- Partner with Security Architecture, Application Security, and offensive security teams
Technical Overview
Focus on enterprise AI security across the lifecycle, including risk assessment, guardrails, and governance. Works with Security Architecture, Application Security, and offensive security teams, leveraging frameworks such as NIST AI RMF and OWASP Top 10 for LLMs.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior cybersecurity professional with 7+ years in AI security, deep knowledge of NIST AI RMF and HIPAA in healthcare, and applicable certifications (CISSP/CCSP/CISM) or an advanced degree. Strong governance, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential for enterprise AI security initiatives.
