About this role

Senior Staff Engineer leading the design and architecture of large-scale cloud services for Cloudera’s multi-cloud data platform. You will develop core components, drive cloud-native innovations, and mentor engineers across distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead design/architecture of complex cloud services
Develop core components for governance, security, and distributed systems
Prototype/evaluate new technologies and cloud-native solutions
Mentor engineers and foster technical excellence
Collaborate with product and other teams to deliver scalable, resilient solutions

Technical Overview

Strong emphasis on public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), Java development, containerization with Docker, and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions). You will operate in Linux environments with knowledge of networking, VMs, and distributed systems.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior staff platform engineer with deep experience building large-scale cloud services across multi-cloud environments. They should have strong Java background, hands-on experience with AWS/GCP/Azure, containerization with Docker, and mature CI/CD practices, plus experience mentoring engineers.
