About this role
Lead Amazon Logistics Delivery Station (DS) operations with responsibility for safety, quality, performance, customer experience, and people development. Drive Lean initiatives, manage performance against business plan using operational metrics, and oversee hiring, talent planning, and team development across Operations, Area, and Shift Managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall safety, quality, performance, customer experience and people development for delivery station operations
- Drives vision and creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives and other lean initiatives
- Sets and clarifies requirements and expectations; measures performance and holds managers accountable
- Manages 24/7 delivery station environment and delivery of Amazon orders
- Manages day-to-day relationships with Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) and presents operational metrics regularly
Technical Overview
Technical scope is operational analytics and performance management (operational metrics) rather than software systems. The role emphasizes Lean process change, structured performance management, staffing lifecycle execution, and cross-functional execution with DSPs and internal partners (Transport & Sortation, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES, Engineering).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior operations leader with 7+ years of direct management experience in logistics, fulfillment, last-mile, or distribution environments, including salaried, hourly, and agency workforce management. They have strong experience with operational metrics, Lean process and quality initiatives, and end-to-end staffing lifecycle leadership, and they can manage 24/7 delivery station performance while building relationships with Delivery Service Providers.
