About this role
GovCIO seeks a Senior Technical Advisor/Delivery Manager to support software release delivery for the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology. The role leads planning, oversight, risk/dependency management, and cross-functional coordination for the Health Data Management (HDM) sub-product line.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize and sequence work
- Manage technology development across teams for Business Increments
- Ensure visibility across the value stream and coordinate hub activities
- Identify/manage risks, issues, dependencies, and cross-team impacts
- Provide guidance for VA compliance and mentor teams toward continual improvement
Technical Overview
Oversee Agile delivery execution including PI planning, backlog management, and value stream coordination. Provide guidance on system architecture and integration boundaries while ensuring compliance with VA technology policies and governance for release delivery.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior delivery-focused technical advisor with 15+ years (or commensurate) experience supporting federal IT programs, preferably within the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology. They are experienced with VA-specific project management practices, Agile/PI planning, value stream coordination, and executive-level reporting, while coordinating software release delivery across teams.
