About this role
Maintain dealership vehicle readiness by assisting with service write-ups, tagging and protecting vehicles, performing inspections, cleaning, and handling deliveries. Also support service workflow through vehicle transport, key handling, parts pickups, and battery testing in the service drive.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
- Remove protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning vehicles to customers
- Inspect vehicles for stains, debris, and damages and report any damage immediately
- Transport customers and dealership personnel and perform deliveries
- Test batteries of customer vehicles in the service drive and support shop clean-up and deliveries
Technical Overview
Hands-on operations role focused on safe vehicle handling and basic mechanical assistance tasks such as battery testing in the service drive. Includes cleaning, inspection, vehicle movement between lot and storage, and key/vehicle identification workflow for service delivery.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level Service Porter with a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. They are comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles, performing vehicle inspections and cleaning, transporting customers and deliveries, and can safely operate required equipment including battery testing in the service drive.
