About this role
As a Shipping & Receiving Operator at an ethanol plant, you load ethanol and distiller’s grain into trucks and railcars while maintaining production quantity and quality. The role includes sampling for testing, operating scales and meters, completing tickets/paperwork, moving railcars on-site, and performing preventive maintenance and housekeeping activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate product storage and loading processes
- Load ethanol and distiller’s grains into trucks, railcars, and containers
- Take samples of ethanol and distiller’s grains for testing and operate meters/scales
- Create tickets and issue paperwork to drivers while coordinating rail movements
- Follow safety/health/environment procedures (LOTO, Safe Work Permit, FSMA) and perform preventive maintenance/housekeeping
Technical Overview
This is a hands-on plant logistics role requiring operation of loading and material-handling equipment (e.g., front end loaders, lifts, rail movers/locomotives) and the use of meters, bulk weighers, and scales for product loading accuracy.
