About this role
Shovel/Drill Diagnostic Mechanic I repairs and diagnoses heavy equipment systems including electrical hydraulic systems and drilling components. The role includes preventive maintenance, accurate Work Order completion, and may include welding and equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform system diagnostic, replacement and repairs on electrical hydraulic systems
- Replace and repair shovel/drill components (GET, drill bits, drill pipes, hydraulic and motor components)
- Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance
- Complete Work Orders accurately
- Train and mentor other employees

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a maintenance professional with 2+ years in mechanical/maintenance crafts who can diagnose and repair shovel/drill equipment, especially electrical hydraulic systems and drilling components. They can complete Work Orders accurately, read and work from blueprints, communicate and follow English safety procedures, and meet Practical Skills Assessments under the Line of Progression.
Must-Have Skills
