Love staying ahead of the growth curve and experimenting with new software and environments? Get on board as an Atlassian Site Reliability Engineer for Bitbucket. You’ll build solutions to enhance Bitbucket availability, performance and stability, respond to alerts, and work on automation and data collection.
Key Responsibilities

- develop automation and data collection and configuration management
- the team uses Fabric and Puppet
- collaborate with product teams across Atlassian
Technical Overview
You will work on current and future Bitbucket hardware, automation, monitoring and data collection and configuration management (Fabric and Puppet). Emphasis on collaboration and solving problems rather than heroics; production-scale results.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-to-senior Site Reliability Engineer with strong Python scripting experience and hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt) and messaging systems (Redis, RabbitMQ). They thrive in a collaborative, high-velocity SaaS environment and care about scalable production systems.
