Peraton is hiring a Network LAN/WAN Administrator for the SITEC-3 enterprise operations and maintenance effort at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL. The role provides Tier one and two network support, monitors LAN/WAN equipment and circuits, troubleshoots and escalates issues, and ensures compliant, reliable network operations.

Key Responsibilities

Monitors the LAN and WAN equipment and circuits utilizing Riverbed Event Manager
Performs initial triage and resolves or escalates technical problems
Creates monitoring reports and manages equipment logs
Ensures functionality of links and plans for network performance initiatives
Prepares technical implementation plans and progress reports for the Government

Technical Overview

The position administers enterprise Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure, using Riverbed Event Manager for monitoring and supporting the full lifecycle of network services. The administrator designs and documents implementation plans, manages performance targets (availability, reliability, throughput), and supports configuration/change/license/asset management activities.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on network administrator with strong LAN/WAN administration and Tier one/Tier two troubleshooting experience. They have proven experience maintaining enterprise network infrastructure, monitoring equipment and circuits, and producing implementation and progress documentation in a standards-driven environment. Experience working with Riverbed Event Manager (or equivalent monitoring) and familiarity with government network components and compliance requirements are key.
