About this role
GitLab SMB Solutions Architect is a technical pre-sales role helping North American SMB customers understand and adopt the GitLab AI-powered DevSecOps platform to drive business outcomes. The role includes technical discovery, demos, solution design, PoC/PoV, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide technical discovery, demos, workshops, and validation activities
- Coordinate technical evaluation process for proofs of concept and proofs of value
- Collaborate with SMB Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape account strategies
- Advise customers on modern software development, CI/CD, security, cloud practices and business outcomes
- Develop reusable technical workflows, pre-built projects, CI/CD templates, and POV start points
Technical Overview
Role involves guiding technical evaluations, creating tailored demos and reference architectures, and developing reusable technical assets to accelerate customer evaluations and connect platform capabilities with customer use cases.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level Solutions Architect with DevSecOps and CI/CD experience who can map GitLab capabilities to SMB customer use cases, run PoCs, and create reusable assets for quicker evaluations.
