About this role

This Senior Software Developer role supports the CIQ External API team by designing and delivering client-facing API capabilities. You will contribute to ChatIQ and GQL onboarding, manage GDS infrastructure, ensure existing API functionality remains intact, and lead CIQ Pro migration from CIQ.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop software and maintain test cases and document test results
CIQ Pro Migration from CIQ
Drive setup, configuration, and maintenance of environment and framework
Improve testing processes with emphasis on automation to shorten the SDLC
Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in an Agile software development environment

Technical Overview

Core technical work centers on Java Spring Boot and JavaScript development for external APIs within the GDS platform. The role includes test-case execution/documentation, an automation emphasis to shorten SDLC, Agile task execution, and reliability improvements including Disaster Recovery/High Availability plus modernization around the GDS API framework and CIQ to CIQ Pro migration.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior-level software developer with 5+ years of experience building web applications and strong hands-on expertise in Java Spring Boot. They understand API platforms and migrations (CIQ to CIQ Pro), can write and maintain test cases with an automation-first mindset, and have experience improving reliability through scalable infrastructure and Disaster Recovery/High Availability.
