About this role

AWS is hiring Software Development Engineers for Amazon Connect to help build the next generation cloud contact center. The role involves end-to-end ownership, evaluating secure and scalable system designs, and improving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Own code end-to-end from design to development
Evaluate design decisions for security, scalability, fault tolerance, high availability, and low latency
Implement software solutions based on agreed design
Improve operational excellence of owned services
Mentor others and participate in operation/design/doc reviews

Technical Overview

This role focuses on designing and implementing software systems for Amazon Connect using modern web technologies, SOA, NoSQL databases, and capabilities involving AI, ML, and Big Data. Emphasis is placed on secure, scalable, fault tolerant, highly available architectures with low latency, plus operational excellence and review/mentoring practices.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a Software Development Engineer who can deliver end-to-end ownership from design through development and has strong computer science fundamentals. They have hands-on experience building secure, scalable, fault tolerant, highly available systems with modern web, SOA, NoSQL databases, and AI/ML/Big Data, with a strong operational excellence mindset.
