Software Development Engineer II, Data Center Design Engineering - BIM & AI Technologies

AWS Infrastructure Services is building generative AI systems to automate and accelerate BIM-based data center design documentation workflows. This SDE II role focuses on architecting scalable, production-ready solutions and integrating BIM platforms while productionizing ML models with strong engineering hygiene.

• Architect scalable BIM and design automation solutions
• Develop new features and services to speed data center design projects
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and establish coding standards
• Productionize ML models for BIM/AECO workflows with deployment and monitoring
• Build integrations between BIM platforms like Autodesk Platform Service

You will design and implement generative AI applications and production-ready systems integrating BIM platforms, desktop applications, and cloud services. The work includes collaborating with applied scientists to productionize ML models for BIM and AECO applications, ensuring robust deployment and monitoring, and delivering well-documented, maintainable code with coding standards.

The ideal candidate is an SDE II with experience designing and building scalable software solutions in BIM and design automation contexts. They have hands-on ability to productionize ML models for production systems, including robust deployment and monitoring, and can integrate with BIM platforms such as Autodesk Platform Service. They write clean, maintainable code and collaborate closely with applied scientists and domain experts in the AECO industry.
