About this role

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) develops and executes automated tests, defines testing strategies, and leads test automation efforts in an Agile environment to ensure high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities

Adopt a test-first approach to software development
Assess, define, and document test framework(s)
Establish performance testing baselines
Provide leadership on testing processes (BDD)
Develop automated and manual testing strategies

Technical Overview

QA & Testing in mainframe and modern stacks; test automation frameworks; IBM mainframe tooling; JCL, z/OS, zVSE; RESTful APIs; OO programming; continuous testing

Ideal Candidate

The ideal SDET candidate is a senior software tester with 5+ years of experience, strong mainframe knowledge (z/OS, JCL, REXX), and a proven track record in automated testing, agile processes, and RESTful API validation.

Must-Have Skills

At least 5+ years of experience testing modern large-scale software and complex test configurationsMastered the basics of operating as a developer in the IBM mainframe environmentBasic understanding of CICS architecture and commandsExperience in implementing JCL to execute batch processes in zOS or zVSEAdditional experience in one or more of the following: Metal CREXXCLISTISPFJES 2/3+
